France condemns suicide attack on the police academy in Somalia
Lebanon files- PARIS (Cunaabi) — French government condemned the suicide attack which targeted a police academy in the Somali capital, triggering the killing of elements in the Somali police.
French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero said in a press briefing that 'France condemns in the strongest terms the attack which took place this morning against the police academy in the Somali capital Mogadishu.'
He said France, which expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and to the Somali authorities and 'reiterates its call upon all Somali political leaders to join the Djibouti process, and condemns the use of violence.'
He added that his country 'reaffirms its full support to the AU mission to achieve peace and stability in Somalia,' referring to 'train the European Union to the Somali police force as part of its overall strategy for achieving stability there.'
