Mogadishu (Sunatimes) A logistics company that will repair Mogadishu airport’s equipments has yesterday started displaying and testing some of those equipments.

SKA Air and Logistics firm technicians were yesterday seen testing some of the security and airport operation machines. Marlin Bale who is SKA‘s coordinator said some of the equipments were not ready for use.

The equipments have been in the airport for quite some time with out use. Some of the equipments that will be tested and repaired include; security machines and weather forecast apparatus.

The airport’ official in charge of Airplanes landing and take off, Captain Mohamud Sheikh Ahmed said they could not use the equipments previously due to their poor condition.

SKA Air and Logistics firm is one of the foreign companies that were awarded different contracts by the Somali Transitional Government.

The parliament earlier this week requestedPrime Minister Mohamed Abdulahi Farmoje to table a report in parliament to explain the kind of agreement contained in the contracts.
