Mogadishu (Cunaabi) The president of Somali Transitional Federal Government, Shiekh Sharif Shiekh Ahmed has traveled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the African Union summit.

President Shariff’s delegation left Mogadishu’s Adan Ade International Air port shortly after mid day on Saturday. Sharif is expected to explain, the political and security situation of his country to the AU member countries.

Among the Somali delegation to attend the AU summit in Addis Ababa are the ministers for Heritage and Higher education Abdinur Shiekh Ahmed and Finanace minister Hussien Abdi Halanle.

The delegation is also expected to explain the devastating draught situation in the country and as well meet several representatives of development partners and stake holders.

Sheikh Shariff has recently returned from Uganda, where he met with President Yoweri Museveni who was at that time celebrating the 26^thanniversary of his rule since he came to power.
